Project Overview
Located 27 kilometres southwest of Ras Al Khaimah is Al Marjan Island – the first man-made island project to be developed in the emirate. This cluster of five coral-shaped islands extends over 2.7 million sqm and is worth over US$ 1.8 billion. Destined to become a haven of luxurious living, Al Marjan Island will be home to plush waterfront homes, floating villas, hotels, resorts, sporting facilities and commercial areas.
At the heart of Rakeen’s philosophy is a deep reverence for the environment. Which is why only the most natural procedures have been undertaken while developing Al Marjan Island. Cautiously laid natural rocks took the places of concrete ripraps to ensure marine life wasn’t affected during the process. This will not only flourish marine life but also attract coral life and help a reef formation, giving birth to a new natural wonder in Ras Al Khaimah.
