Ahlan wa sahlan to Rakeen’s newly designed website. We would like to take you with us on a journey to a place of white sandy beaches, stunning mountains and pristine desert sands. A place where one can spend a fantastic vacation, live a peaceful and tranquil life or pursue unrivalled business opportunities all in one. Ras Al Khaimah is an Arabian-style 1001 nights’ adventure mixed with modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities – a haven of peace and a myriad of prospects!
This beautiful emirate is what Rakeen has been entrusted with to develop, nurture and enrich its community with unique, practical and sustainable real estate projects and master plans to complement Ras Al Khaimah’s transformation to the ‘business hub with heart and personality’.
Be it our man-made island Al Marjan or Bab Al Bahr, our mixed-use development on the peninsula of Al Marjan Island, or the Arabian desert resort Banyan Tree Al Wadi (the first desert resort with nature reserve, private beach and golf course in the Middle East), be it our Gateway City, Exhibition & Convention Centre or the Offshore City, all of our projects are architectural masterpieces and designed with a lot of understanding for the culture and heritage of Ras Al Khaimah and after thorough study of what this emirate needs to reach its full potential. Rakeen’s developments naturally blend in the existing surroundings and preserve the habitat. Environment is a major focus for Rakeen, which is reflected in the techniques we apply and the RAK Green Building Regulatory Guidelines (RGBRG) we implement.
Our main strategy and priority for 2009/10 is to deliver on our promises, to honour our commitments and to prove to our esteemed clientele that we deserve their trust, with their investments hopefully yielding high returns. Our flagship development Bab Al Bahr, which currently has our undivided focus, is in full swing with construction progressing day by day. 2010 will be a big and exciting year for us, when Bab Al Bahr will be handed over for our first end-user development to start operating. With Banyan Tree Al Wadi Resort to open its doors already in Q4 2009 and our Al Marjan Island’s infrastructure being in full swing after we completed reclamation works earlier this year, all our domestic projects are progressing as scheduled.
With our charismatic and highly competent leaders - His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and Dr. Khater Massaad, our Executive Chairman, and their visionary strategy of well-placed investments and project diversification in emerging countries all over the world (e.g. Georgia, Iran, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, India, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, etc.), we have secured our position in the market and grown from a local developer to a global player. With active developments and lucrative land banks in 12 countries and 5 international offices, Rakeen has placed itself amongst the top master planners of the UAE and made its mark on an international scale.
